Sarita Garg, President of Garg & Associates, P.C. has over eighteen years of legal experience, covering a multitude of different practice areas, including but not limited to Immigration Law, Family Law, Criminal Law and Business Law. Sarita Garg has been managing and overseeing the operations of the practice, now known as Garg & Associates, P.C. and has been actively expanding the practice for five years now.

Sarita Garg attended the University of Alberta, Canada where she received an undergraduate degree, completing a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After graduating, she attended law school at Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law, and graduated in 2001. While at Ohio Northern, she competed in Moot Court Competitions, was involved in Mediation and Arbitration hearings, and completed a Criminal Internship where she represented clients in temporary protection order hearings, criminal misdemeanor offenses, and traffic trials under a third year bar card at the Public Prosecutor's Office in Lima, Ohio. During her legal studies, she completed extensive research on state and federal bad faith insurance topics, including bad faith insurance claims, unfair settlement of claims, and misrepresentations made by insurance companies. In the four years preceding her move to Houston, Texas, she worked in the field of Immigration Law and Personal Injury Law. Her Immigration experience included handling Family-Based and Employment-Based Immigration cases including TN Visas, H-1B Visas, F-1 Student Visas, Fiance Visas, Permanent Resident and Green Card applications, and Naturalization applications. In the area of Personal Injury law, she assisted in automobile accident cases, medical malpractice cases, and wrongful death cases. Prior to becoming licensed in Texas, she worked at a Property Tax Consulting Firm in Houston, TX, that specialized in advocating/protesting property taxes on behalf of residential clients in Harris County, and was successful in substantially lowering property taxes for these clients, by appearing and attending Informal Hearings, Appraisal Review Board (ARB) Hearings, and Judicial Appeal Hearings. After becoming licensed in Texas in 2005, she worked at a national tax advisory firm and specialized in providing federal and state tax credits, incentives, exemptions and deductions, among other specialty tax services to a broad spectrum of clients throughout the United States, ranging from individuals and start-up companies to Fortune 1000 corporations. During the Firms first year, she handled some uncontested, and contested divorce cases in Montgomery County, assisted with the Immigration matters, and continues to assist with a few Garg & Associates cases, time permitting, but the majority of her time is spent actively developing and managing the operations of the Practice in Texas, and New Mexico.

Aside from managing the operations of Garg & Associates, P.C., Sarita enjoys yoga, tennis, & spending quality time with her husband, and being a mother to 3 children.
